What is Checked in a Full Car Service?
A full service checks most components, systems and adjustments of your car. If you choose a full service, you should expect an extensive range of checks, such as:

- Checking the hydraulic fluid and coolant levels and topping up.

What is Checked in an Interim Car Service?
An interim car service has fewer checks than a full service and should be carried out every six months or 6,000 miles. The checks you should expect to have with an interim service are:
- An engine oil change and oil filter replacement.
- Inspecting lights, windscreen wipers, tyres, exhaust system and brakes.
- Topping up water levels, screen wash and antifreeze.

When you book an oil and filter service, you can expect a mechanic to check and replace your car’s engine oil and oil filter. How often your vehicle’s engine oil needs changing is dependent on the manufacturer's recommendations for your specific vehicle model.
